Projects in Culture and Tourist Industry
During my time in culture and tourist industry, I worked as the director of business unit for a cultural and creative company and a project planner and coordinator for the parent company's strategic development department. Here are the projects for which I was responsible.
1. Yongjiang Village
Based on China's policy for rural revitalization, the project seeks to build a bamboo-themed village that is consistent with the rural environment and features rural hospitality, farming experiences, bamboo arts shows, a rural bookstore, tea art, and restorative activities. The village has drawn thousands of tourists and industry experts since its opening in 2020. It was designated as a National Beautiful Leisure Village in 2020 by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs of China.
2. Xianfeng Village
In order to alleviate poverty and support the development of Xianfeng Village, the project aims to build a health and wellness summer resort based on Xianfeng’s terrain, forest, climate and local Hmong culture. Part of the project, including a country inn and tents under the stars, has been built. The village has attracted a large number of vacationers from neighboring cities.
3. Cultural and Creative Products
As the director of business unit for a cultural and creative company, I led my team to develop, design, integrate and market the cultural and creative products based on Yibin's local culture. These products centered on liquor, tea, bamboo, Nezha(a Chinese mythological figure) and Yangtze River, which are the most emblematic features in the city. We started the company from scratch, and quickly formed partnerships with a number of manufacturers, suppliers, and design firms. By the time I resigned, we had released a number of cultural and creative products.
